Bryansburn Rangers Retain That Prize Guy Four Team Tournament Title
Bryansburn Rangers FC successfully defended the That Prize Guy Four Team Tournament trophy with a superb day of football at Ballywooley, retaining the title in front of a fantastic crowd of supporters.
The hosts began the day with a hard-fought semi-final against Seagoe FC, with the sides playing out an entertaining 1-1 draw. With neither team able to find a winner in normal time, the match was decided by a penalty shootout, where Bryansburn held their nerve to book their place in the final.
Awaiting them were Islandmagee FC, who had secured their own place in the showpiece event after an impressive semi-final victory.
Bryansburn produced another composed performance in the final, claiming a deserved 2-0 victory to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year and continue their excellent pre-season form.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Portavogie Rangers FC, Seagoe FC and Islandmagee FC for helping make the tournament another fantastic occasion. The quality of football, sportsmanship and support shown throughout the day was a credit to all four clubs.
