Bryansburn Rangers II Book Place in Champions of Down Final

Bryansburn Rangers II secured their place in the Champions of Down final with an impressive 5-2 victory over Ards FC Under-20s.

The Wee Twos produced another strong attacking performance, with Karl Yellop and Matty Dempster both scoring twice, while McAdam added the fifth to complete a convincing win.

Yellop’s two-goal display and contribution throughout the match earned him the Man of the Match award.

The result continues an excellent run in the competition for Ryan Connolly’s side, following their 6-3 opening-round victory over Castle FC Seniors.

Second Team manager Ryan Connolly said:

“It was another really positive performance from the lads against a talented Ards side. We showed quality going forward, worked hard for one another and deserved the result. Reaching the final is a great achievement, but we know there is still one more big performance required.”

Bryansburn Rangers II will now face Portaferry Rovers in the final, with the date and further fixture details to be confirmed.
