Bryansburn Rangers 3- Shamrock 2 Match Report!
An Emphatic Ross Craig Hat-Trick Seals the 3 Points!
Bryansburn Rangers picked up their first league win of the 2026/27 season with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Shamrock FC at Ballywooley.
After an encouraging opening-day draw, Andy Wallace's side made a bright start and took control of the contest, racing into a 2-0 lead with an energetic and clinical first-half display.
Shamrock, however, showed their quality and fought their way back into the game, scoring twice to draw level at 2-2 and set up a tense finish.
Rather than letting their heads drop, Bryansburn responded brilliantly. Roared on by the home support, the Burn continued to push forward in search of a winner and were rewarded with the decisive goal to restore their lead and seal a deserved 3-2 victory.
It was a performance full of resilience and determination, with the players showing the character to bounce back after seeing a two-goal advantage disappear.
Andy Wallace's Thoughts
First Team Manager Andy Wallace said:
"I'm delighted with the result and, more importantly, the character the lads showed. Going 2-0 up and then being pegged back to 2-2 could have knocked us, but the players stuck together, kept believing and found a way to win. There are still areas we can improve, but it's a great three points and something we can build on as the season progresses."
The victory sees Bryansburn get their first win of the new league campaign and provides another confidence boost as attention now turns to the next fixture.
Everyone at Bryansburn Rangers FC would like to thank the supporters for their fantastic backing once again. Your support made all the difference.
